We are very excited to kick off with Open Talks Superilla Barcelona today!

Open Talks Superilla Barcelona consists of three days of inspiration and collective reflection on cities after COVID. A crossroads of people and ideas, from near and far, to improve the quality of life of people and public space without leaving anyone behind. It is an event powered by Placemaking Europe, under the AfterCovid.City initiative, and the Municipality of Barcelona and you do not want to miss it!

Among the great voices who will join us for three days of inspiration are international names such as renowned economist and author of Doughnut Economics Kate Raworth, fearless architect and former UN Special Rapporteur on Adequate Housing Raquel Rolnik, bright strategist and coordinator of the Movement for Black Lives Dr. Amara Enyia, the leading thinker on food and cities Carolyn Steel, the champion of placemaking and tactical urbanism Mike Lydon, Mirik Milan, the former Amsterdam night mayor; Philipp Rode, the front runner of urban leadership training at LSE Cities; Andrea Magarini, who works implementing food policy and research in the City of Milan; the forward-thinking Deputy mayor of Paris on Transport David Belliard, and many others. They will be joined by local Barcelona professionals who contribute to making the city a liveable place: urbanists, entrepreneurs, architects, authors, activists, and other professionals.

We highly suggest you to free your schedules and join us in our collective efforts to reimagine this future together! October 5-7 will be packed with inspirational debates, insightful conversations and valuable conclusions. You can join us either in person in Barcelona, at Espai Fossat – Mercat de Sant Antoni, or follow the conference online. If you haven’t grabbed your online ticket yet, you can still sign up here.

The registration for on-site presence is closed now, but it is still possible to attend, even if you do not have a ticket! The free access point will open 5 minutes before each session at Espai Fossat - Mercat de Sant Antoni. You will need to provide your personal details on site.

You can find the full programme of different voices and experiences joining us over the next three days on the website. Follow us on social media to stay updated on sessions happening each day and we would also love to follow your posts live on social media! We hope to see you there!
